This book is devoted to review of fauna of mites of family Scutacaridae (Acari: Heterostigmata) in territory of former USSR. The basic purpose of this book is to show
the large diversity of species of Scutacaridae of the Eastern Palearctic and to identifythese mites to species. Here the descriptions and figures are given for 183 species of scutacarids available in the author’s collection that occur in the Eastern Palearctic territories, 57 of them described as new for science. In addition, the species absent in the author’s collection are included in keys to the Palearctic scutacarids.
Book is intended on acarologist and specialists on soil fauna.
Книга присвячена обзору фауни кліщів родини Scutacaridae (Acari: Heterostigmata) на те¬риторії колишнього СРСР. Основна мета цієї книги є показати величезну різноманітність видів родини Scutacaridae Східної Палеарктики і визначити цих кліщів до виду У книжці представ¬лені описи і малюнки 183 видів скутакарид Східної Палеарктики, що представлені в колекції автора, 57 з яких описуються як нові для науки. Крім того, види шо відсутні у колекції автора включені у визначні таблиці скутакарид Палеарктики.
Книга розрахована на фахівців-акарологів і фахівців із ґрунтової фауни.
